Chirally Correct Medical Skin Care Product, and Peel for Medi-Facial Treatments.

The correct peels are gentle, yet effective treatments offered by your skin care specialist, allowing faster results for whatever skin condition you may have.  They are chirally corrected to significantly reduce the pain and irritation often associated with chemical peels while maximizing their desired effect.

Every molecule in nature is chiral, but not every molecule is chirally correct. 

What Does “Chirally Correct” Mean?

Chiral is the Greek word for hand.  In the same way that our hands mirror each other, most skincare ingredients are chiral, meaning they have a “left” or a “right” chemical orientation.  All body cells, including those in the skin, recognize and prefer a specific orientation of an ingredient.  This process is one of extreme precision!  An ingredient attaching to a cell receptor is analogous to a hand in a glove!  For example, Vitamin C is 50% left-handed (L-ascorbic acid) and 50% right-handed (D-ascorbic acid).  Research has shown that only the “L” version is an effective antioxidant (and thus is “chirally correct”).  The other half of this product (if it is not “chirally correct”) is ineffective and can often be irritating to the skin.  COSMEDIX uses only chirally correct ingredients; ensuring that our products are the most effective and the least irritating in the industry.  It works well on dark/olive skin types.

The Blueberry Smoothie Peel:

Used as an exfoliant before extractions, acne treatments and to pre-peel skin before chemical peels or post microdermabrasion.  The antioxidant properties help to minimize skin aging as the exfoliating beads and corn meal help to rid skin of excess dead skin buildup without the uneven tearing by other scrubbing ingredients, stimulating and hydrating with pure L-lactic acid.   It is particularly good on oily/problem skin.   

The Benefit Peel:

Now there is a “peel” for everyone regardless of skin type or skin condition.  The best all round peel available.  Conditions include increased exfoliation with microdermabrasion. Using purified vitamin C powder and Retinol A, this peel nourishes, exfoliates and stimulates to produce a radiant, healthy glow.  May be used for post microdermabrasion treatments and for patients with sensitive skin.

The Purity Peel:

This synergistic blend of chirally corrected acids produces a moderate depth peel that is calming.  The result is a soothing, exfoliating peel that is excellent for acne.

The Deep Sea Peel:

This “non-acid” herbal peel uses a physical (massage) to stimulate a light to medium depth peel.  Patients can experience a light exfoliation to a medium depth peeling, depending on the length of massage.  Effective for hyper-pigmentation, fine scarring and to stimulate collagen production.  Mild discomfort with a pin like feel to the skin may be experienced.

The Timeless Peel:

This “overnight” peel is very safe but stimulates significant cell turnover resulting in smoother younger skin.  This peel works well for large pores, fine lines, scarring, sun-damaged and hyper-pigmentation.

The Blueberry Jessners Peel:

This revolutionary peel uses chirally corrected L-lactic acid that can be layered to produce an excellent sloughing peel.  The blueberry extract is a powerful antioxidant.  Great for acne clients, superficial hyper-pigmentation and reducing fine lines.
